Stack Emission Sampling / Testing
Industramach (under TEEM Inc.) is one the pioneers in stack emission testing for compliance with the DENR and US-EPA Standards which started in year 1995. Between year 1998 to 1999 IMACH was awarded a contract by a US-Company, to conduct emission testing of at least 10 representative industries for the US/TDA funded DENR/EMB Project: Metro Manila Air Quality Improvement Program. In another ADB-Funded Project – Metro Manila Air Quality, Multi-Sectoral Development Program, IMACH/TEEM in partnership TRC Environmental Corporation, the largest stack testing company in the USA, has been a consultant/contractor to the DENR Environmental Management Bureau from 2014 to 2017. Under this project, TEEM Environmental Monitoring Service (now under IMACH) conducted emission testing of more than 960 stacks to gather data for EMB. Guidelines for Accreditation of Third Party Stack Testers were also established as part the project scope.
IMACH has four (4) DENR/EMB accredited sampling teams and has several spare sampling parts and units to meet the sampling schedule and maintain the data quality. It also has employed a Certified Visible Emission Observer to conduct opacity observation in accordance with USEPA- 40CFR60 Appendix A, Reference Method 9 whose certification is renewed annually in the USA.
